John Burton....
Hi I'm John Burton. I met Doug in July of 1977 introduced to me by John (Wally) Watson. Wally and I had played in several bar bands since high school. Doug, Wally, myself, and another high school chum (Dave Ball) jammed a few times. Wally then joined the local country swing band "Blue Northern." Doug and I formed the original group and the rest, as they say, is history. I performed, produced, arranged, wrote songs, toured myself silly. It was the "best of times" ... it was "worst of times" ... all rolled into one amazing roller coaster of bizarre events for the next fifteen years until the spring of 1992.
I currently work at INTRAWEST, the world's largest resort developer. So, you can see I still want my life to be like a big holiday and I'm still finding out just how much work that is.
I currently work with Vancouver's hottest instrumental band "The (Mighty) Stingrays" watch for our "CD" release "THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF RAYMOND SHAKE" March 26th 1999.
